BIO-COMPOSTABLE LINE

The ballpens Vegetal Pen, Ingeo Pen, Bio-S! Pen and the 2020 novelties S45 Bio and S45 Bio Clear, are manufactured with a revolutionary material (PLA - Polylactic Acid); its use does help the reduction of environmental impact since it is derived from 100% renewable natural fibers, not derived from petroleum. What makes them even more interesting is the final result: three pens displaying characteristics that are equal to those manufactured with petroleum-derived materials. In addition, this resin – prodouce by the US company NatureWorks - is biocompostable, i.e. after undergoing an industrial composting process it breaks down in nature partially reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. With this company Stilolinea has developed a close working relationship that has led to the use of the name patented by NatureWorks - "Ingeo" - for the launch of the second compostable ballpoint pen.

The low environmental impact from this NatureWorks PLA resin is documented by results of specific analyses carried out by the German DIN CERTCO laboratory. 

RECYCLED LINE made of plastic coming from 100% recycling of end-of-life durable goods

For this special eco-sustainable line, Stilolinea has selected an excellent quality certified post-consumer material, coming from a world-leading company, specialized in the recycling of durable goods at the end of life, such as electronic residues, vacuum cleaners, telecommunication devices, receivers, toys etc. The plastic in question is made in Europe and is not imported from Asia, also to ensure the sustainability of the supply chain.

The models selected for the standard collection of the recycled line are the best-selling retractable pen S45 Recycled, the twist model ELIS Recycled, the timeless and highly requested Raja Chrome Recycled to which the latest novelty Baron 03 Recycled has been added, created to expand and enrich the colours range.

S45 Recycled takes advantage of an essential and light design, which translates into a printing facility much appreciated by distributors and retailers.

ELIS Recycled, in addition to the attractive shape, can also offer the option of the RT90 “lead-free” refill as an added value in the message of sensitivity on the environmental theme.

Raja Chrome Recycled, historical icon, cannot fail to offer its loyal customers with one of the most sustainable looks of the moment, becoming an ambassador of respect for the environment. The "castle gray" and "aesthetic black" nuances of 100% post-consumer plastic enhance its timeless elegance and create a powerful contrast with the precious metal details. The additional option of the "lead-free" RT90 refill is available also for Raja pens. 

Baron 03 Recycled offers a wide choice of 12 new colors made with 100% recycled ABS plastic originating in Europe. These chromatic shades are inspired by “Nature” and specifically by the wonders of all our planet’s continents, that need to be safeguarded. RECYCLED LINE r-PET made of plastic coming from 100% recycling of end-of-life bottles

A second proposal in recycled plastic is that made with r-PET, a material that derives from the recovery of plastic bottles and which has highly appreciated characteristics such as crystalline transparency, high strength and long life.

R-PET is thus a valuable and environmentally friendly material, which, during the course of its recovery, does not loose its properties and is therefore indefinitely recyclable.

The S45 r-PET model is the 2020 novelty of the Stilolinea collection which contributes to reducing the threat of plastic from a bottle abandoned in nature. The contrast between the shiny transparency of the clip and the satin effect of the barrel create a fun game for a promotional pen with a fresh and young look.
